Product information

This 2.80mm valve shim is used to adjust the valve clearance on a Piaggio scooter with a 4-stroke, 4-valve engine. The shim sits in the valve bucket beneath the cam, allowing you to set the exact clearance between the cam and valve to the specified value.

Please note: the size marking (2.80mm) is stamped on the underside of the shim and is not visible in the product photo. Always physically check the size before fitting.

For valve adjustment on 4-valve engines, multiple shims are required — accurately measure the current clearance and select the correct shim. Always replace valve shims in combination with a new gasket top set after removing the cylinder head.
