The Polini clutch pressure spring (+15%) gives you a firmer clutch engagement and sharper handling than the standard spring. With a spring rate of 4.1 and 15% extra pressure, the variator engages faster and more precisely — handy when replacing the original spring or wanting to boost riding performance slightly.
The compression spring is located in the variator between the clutch components and determines the moment the clutch engages when accelerating. A stiffer spring allows the clutch to engage slightly later, which improves traction when pulling away. This is an aftermarket part from Polini (part number 243.021), an Italian manufacturer specializing in scooter and moped parts.
Fits scooters with a GY6 engine and models from Honda, Kymco, Peugeot, and Piaggio. When installing, also check the wear of the clutch parts and variator rollers for optimal results.
