This retaining plate is specifically intended for the kickstart spring on Zündapp mopeds with a 4- or 5-speed gearbox. The plate holds the kickstart spring in place and is a frequently requested replacement part when repairing a worn or damaged kickstart mechanism.
Manufactured in the EU and bearing part number 283-05.609. Thanks to European production, the dimensions are precise and the part fits directly into the original position — without adjustment or filing.
Check the condition of the kickstart spring itself during installation; if in doubt, simultaneous replacement of the spring and retaining plate is recommended to avoid rework.
