Product information

In time for the 25th anniversary of the world's first balloon bike tyre, it's ready: the Schwalbe Motion Big Apple - a tyre that makes a statement thanks to modern design and the highest standards of environmental friendliness. It is the direct successor to the Big Ben and the predecessor model of the Big Apple. The environmental friendliness of the tyre:

Addix Green: Schwalbe's most environmentally friendly rubber compound while maintaining performance, contains 80% renewable raw materials and recycled materials:

Among other things, it uses 100% recycled carbon black (recovered Carbon Black, rCB) from Schwalbe's tyre recycling.

Made 100% from fairtrade natural rubber. Comfort and cushioning At low air pressure, the Schwalbe Motion Big Apple absorbs every bump and rolls smoothly over asphalt as well as forest tracks. It stands for absolute comfort and, thanks to its large volume, cushions every shock without any complicated suspension technology. The versatile tread design includes modern design elements that can also be found in the sidewall structure of the Motion Big Apple. Area of use The Motion Big Apple is suitable for e-bikes in the touring and urban segment, as well as for trekking and city bikes without a motor. It is made for daily routes to work as well as for classic bike tours. The Big Apple is also a good choice for children's and youth bikes and light non-motorised cargo bikes. New Motion product family The Motion Big Apple is also the first touring tyre to be placed in Schwalbe's new range structure. Motion stands for a new product family in Schwalbe's city/tour segment, complementing the well-known Marathon family. More tyres from the Motion family will be presented in 2026. Features:
