The Piaggio variator ring (also known as a limiting ring) restricts the rev range of the variator, keeping the maximum speed at 25 km/h. This is the original Piaggio part with article number CM100603, dimensions 20x25x2,6 mm.
The ring is located in the variator and prevents the range from being increased. Always replace a broken or missing limiter ring with the original part — this way you keep the factory settings intact and your vehicle remains within the legal speed limit for mopeds (blue license plate, 25 km/h).
