This brake segment from DMP replaces the original rear brake segment in the drum brake of various Kymco models. DMP supplies aftermarket brake parts that fit precisely into the original brake housing, allowing for installation without modifications.
The brake segment is the primary wear part in a drum brake. With every braking action, the segments press against the inside of the brake drum; over time, the lining wears away. Reduced braking performance, a longer braking distance, or a scraping sound when braking are signs that replacement is necessary. Always replace both brake segments at the same time for even braking force on the rear axle.
