This O-ring is the sealing ring for the fuel tank cap of the Piaggio Ciao and Città mopeds. The model is designated as 'tappo' (Italian for cap) and ensures a leak-proof seal for the fuel tank. If the O-ring is worn or hardened, petrol can leak past the tank cap — replace it in time for your safety and to prevent fuel loss.
A small but essential rubber ring that you can easily replace yourself: remove the old O-ring, clean the seat in the fuel cap, and press the new ring into place.
