This starter segment set is intended as a replacement part for the kickstart mechanism of Vespa and Piaggio mopeds. The starter segment (also known as a starter claw or starter ratchet) wears out through normal use and can cause the kickstarter to slip or no longer engage properly with the crankshaft. With a new set, you restore a reliable start.
