The original Piaggio kickstart spring restores your scooter's kickstart mechanism to factory specifications. This is an OEM part with Piaggio engine reference 289495, intended for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines (2-valve and 4-valve).
The spring provides the rebound pressure that allows the kickstart pedal to return to its resting position after every kick. A worn or broken kickstart spring causes the pedal to no longer spring back or to collapse completely — this is the original Piaggio part that fits exactly into the engine block.
Fits the Piaggio engine block (block 289495), used in various models of Piaggio, Gilera, and Aprilia: Gilera Runner, Aprilia Mojito, Aprilia SportCity One, and Aprilia SR with Piaggio block, in 2-stroke and 4-stroke (2V and 4V) versions.
