The crankshaft forms the heart of the engine: it converts the linear motion of the piston into rotational force. In the event of wear or damage to the crankshaft — recognizable by irregular engine noise, vibrations, or oil leakage at the crankshaft seals — replacement is necessary. This original part guarantees the correct tolerances and balance for reliable and quiet engine operation.
When replacing, also check the crankshaft seals and connecting rod bearing for wear, so that you do not have to open the engine twice.
