The Top Performance flywheel key is an aftermarket part for mopeds and scooters with a Minarelli engine (horizontal and vertical). This key has a taper of +/- 5 degrees, allowing you to adjust the ignition timing of the flywheel relative to the original position.
A flywheel key determines the fixed position of the flywheel on the crankshaft. The +5° offset version shifts the ignition before or after the standard setting — practical for upgrades such as a different cylinder, carburetor, or exhaust, where the optimal ignition shifts.
Fits engines with both horizontal and vertical Minarelli engine layouts. Minarelli engines are used in scooters and mopeds from Yamaha and related brands. Before installation, check that the key aligns with the key groove on your crankshaft.
