This M8×1.25 flywheel nut is the locking nut that secures the flywheel to the crankshaft of your Vespa Ciao or Citta. You receive a set of 12 pieces — handy as workshop stock for repeated overhauls or if you maintain multiple units.
The nut has an SW17 wrench size and fine M8×1.25 thread, suitable for the original crankshaft dimensions of the Ciao and Citta engines. When performing flywheel work — adjusting the ignition, changing the flywheel, overhauling the crankshaft — it is advisable to replace the nut with a new one immediately. This ensures proper locking force without additional risk.
Always use a flywheel puller when disassembling and tighten the nut to the correct torque to prevent damage to the crankshaft or flywheel.
