This Viton oil seal is located on the right side of the crankshaft and ensures an oil-tight seal of the engine block. Viton is a fluoroelastomer that is resistant to high temperatures and fuels, and therefore lasts longer than standard rubber seals.
The size 16.4×30×5 mm (inner diameter × outer diameter × width) is the standard specification for the right crankshaft side on Kymco and SYM 4-stroke scooters. Also fits scooters with a GY6 engine — a widely used 4-stroke engine configuration in Chinese scooters.
Replace this oil seal in case of oil leakage around the crankshaft or during a major service. When installing, ensure the lip faces the oil side for a proper seal.
