This original Piaggio shock absorber rubber is the upper mounting buffer of the shock absorber on your 2-stroke scooter. Part number 178149 guarantees the exact Piaggio specification: correct hardness, fit, and lifespan.
The rubber dampens vibrations and noise between the shock absorber and the frame. Replace this part as soon as it hardens, tears, or deforms — damaged rubber leads to extra vibrations, increased wear on the suspension, and a less comfortable ride.
Installation requires loosening the upper shock absorber mount. When replacing, also check the lock nut and any associated washers for wear.
