This is an original Piaggio part with the exact 8-pin connector for direct installation — no modification or conversion required. The voltage regulator is usually located behind the front fairing or near the flywheel. Replace your voltage regulator if your battery drains quickly without a visible reason, the lights flicker irregularly, or the battery is consistently overcharged. When installing, also check the connector points and ground connection for corrosion — a poor ground produces virtually identical symptoms to a defective regulator.
