This original 2,00 mm Yamaha valve shim is used to adjust the valve clearance in the cylinder head of the Yamaha Neo 4-stroke. Valve clearance is a critical engine setting: too little clearance causes combustion problems and valve damage, while too much clearance results in a ticking engine noise and power loss.

The shim is placed between the valve adjustment bucket and the camshaft. When performing a valve adjustment, you measure the current clearance and select the matching shim with the correct thickness. Yamaha supplies these shims in increments of 0,05 mm, allowing you to accurately correct the clearance. Article number: 5STE-21695-00.
