The original Piaggio battery box (part number 299047) is the factory-fitted holder for the 9AH battery in the Vespa LX and Vespa S. As an OEM part, the box fits the frame with millimeter precision, ensuring the battery remains firmly in place and preventing corrosion caused by loose contacts.
Replace the battery box if the plastic is cracked, the mounting points are broken off, or the battery is no longer secured after a fall. A properly fitting battery box protects both the battery and the wiring underneath from vibrations and moisture.
Installation: remove the seat, disconnect the battery, and wipe out the bin via the existing locking points. No modifications required when using OEM part number 299047.
