Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB R Black 29x2.10/54-622 outer tire. The most puncture-resistant MTB tire with ECE-R75 approval for fast e-bikes. It rolls smoothly over paved roads on the center tread. The powerful outer knobs ensure grip on rough terrain. The SmartGuard puncture protection layer offers excellent puncture protection. Good visibility, even in the dark, thanks to reflective lines on the sidewalls. Available in 26-inch, 17.5-inch, and 29-inch. The Marathon Plus MTB is suitable for fast e-bikes with pedal assistance up to 50 km/h. For these fast e-bikes – S-pedelecs with authorization, insurance, and pedal assistance – exceeding 25 km/h, this special tire approval is necessary. It is therefore recommended to use e-bike tires with the ECE-R75 approval valid in Europe for these e-bikes. You can never completely rule out a flat tire, but with tires from the Marathon Plus series, you are best protected against typical causes of a punctured tire, such as shards of glass or sharp stones. Be sure to use a pressure gauge to set the tire pressure on the Marathon Plus. Due to the special construction of the tire, testing the tire pressure with your thumbs is very unreliable.
