An intake manifold is the part that connects the carburetor to the cylinder head and directs the fuel-air mixture to the engine. The angle, diameter, and length of the manifold are precisely matched to the engine type and the carburetor that fits it, and a well-sealing manifold is crucial for an economical and smooth-running engine.

When choosing, pay attention to the inner diameter (expressed in millimeters, such as 13 mm or 15 mm) and the angle of the mounting surface, as these must match your carburetor and cylinder exactly. Manifolds are generally make- and model-specific — so check the make and type of moped or scooter, and preferably also the original part number.
