The kickstart pedal is the small foot you use to bring your scooter or moped's engine to life with a quick kick. It is located on the right side of the engine block and operates via a gear mechanism that sets the crankshaft in motion. A proper pedal provides sufficient grip and springs back to its resting position after you have kicked it.
