ART 2 stars

Two ART stars is the rating that matters when it comes to bicycles: this is generally the minimum bicycle insurers require. You will find it on ring locks, folding locks, cable locks, and on the chains and insert chains that you attach to a ring lock.

A ring lock only secures the wheel, nothing more. If you also want to be able to secure the bike to a post or rack, choose a ring lock with a plug-in chain — together they remain ART 2 compliant, and you won't be stuck with a bike you can only lift.
