Chainring

A chainring — also called a sprocket or toothed disc — is the toothed disc that drives the chain and thus transmits pedaling power to the rear wheel of your bicycle. The number of teeth partly determines your gear ratio and, consequently, how lightly or heavily you pedal at a given speed.

When choosing a chainring, the number of teeth and the type of chain (1/8 or 3/32 inch) are the determining factors. A flat sprocket fits a different hub than a recessed model. On this page, you will find a range of sprockets for various bicycles and drivetrains.
